The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther was a German medium tank of the Second World War. It was used on the Eastern and Western Fronts from mid-1943 until the end of the war in May 1945. The Ausf. G had a revised hull to simplify production. The turret and the 7.5cm Kw.K L/70 main armament were the same as those of the earlier Ausf. A. Later versions were equipped with steel rollers. Some examples received additional armor plates on the turret and engine deck to protect against air attacks. Night vision devices were used experimentally.
